Testimonials

My husband and I have travelled to more than 50 countries with group bus tours, on our own, with a private guide and with small groups. We love to travel and can adapt to different itineraries. Our vacation with Patrick Heffron and Francetrek was however, one of the very best we have ever taken. His attentiveness, concern, knowledge and capabilities gave us an intimate look at Provence, it's towns, its people, its beautiful countryside. We stayed at wonderful hotels with excellent service and food. The accommodation and points of interest were carefully chosen by someone who really cared about our comfort and pleasure. The paths and trails we followed were varied and Patrick was able to alter and adjust our excursions to take advantage of the season, the weather, our ambitions and our abilities. All this at a very reasonable price. We have told all our friends to take his tours and we hope to join him again for future vacations.

Comments on our Luberon holiday..

'This trip was very enjoyable . We found the accommodation in the farm auberge suberb and the food so very provencal and original .The hiking and walks were well organised and varied . The guide was personable,  knowledgeable, patient and friendly '  .                  Carole and Lucian Lieberman..Canada

' I really enjoyed this week . Although I thought the walks would be easier it was in the end different and challenging . Every day was different , it was great . The food was delicious and Madame Avon was a real character.. It was truly a home from home with Madame being Mother superior !!!!!!!!!!Great guide with a good sense of humour ..         Sue Margenhessen ..Australia.

'We would like to thank Francetrek for providing such a wonderful tour in which the overall experience was outstanding .The itinerary took us to places we would not have discovered on our own . It had condensed into one week the highlights from what would have been many weeks of exploration away from the typical tourist places. The walks took us right into the region and we experienced a sense of soaking up the feel of the land .The guesthouse was rustic and charming .

Our guide , Patrick Heffron , who made this holiday exceptional .Apart from his knowledge of the region , history, language and culture , his personal qualities ensured the group got the most enjoyment out of the trip . Patrick was interesting , always accommodating. considerate and senstive to our needs as individuals and as a group. We wish Patrick well and know that any trip with him as guide would be a special unforgettable trip.     Helen and Alan Barwick..New South Wales..june 2005.

A complete treasure of a holiday in a cosy, warm, welcoming, well equipped house. Our children loved the playroom and the walks through the vineyards to feed the donkeys. The surrounding area is lovely, we recommend Vaison La Romaine for its market (Thursday) and Roman remains.A great day trip was the Pont Du Gard (astounding), the Haribo museum and elegant Uzes itself - there is the most amazing, beautiful, old fashioned sweet shop off the central square there. Noyons is lovely and the square was a great place to eat with the children,as they could run around. Buy some lavender essensce - iis a lovely holiday reminder. We loved the area and your property and are delighted that what started out as an ad hoc half term holiday based upon cheap flights turned out to be such a joy for us all,so expect us back.
