SKIING 2009

WALKING HOLIDAYS

Our walking holidays are designed to provide a good mix of activity and culture . The emphasis is on flexibility and the willingness on our part to go that extra distance to satisfy our clients.

PRIVATE GUIDING ALL YEAR ROUND.2009.  Walk , cycle , mountain bike, rock climb, ski or snow shoe.Come for as long as you like and we will arrange a tour to fit your demands .Stay in our comfortable gite ,complete with central heating, Sat TV and free bikes, or local  hotels and self catering gites.For keen walkers we can climb some of the famous mountains in the region ..Mont Ventoux, Mont St Victoire, le Grand Luberon. For those wishing to visit the major sites of interest we can include  Avignon, Orange, Aix en Provence, Roussillon, Gordes, Les Baux de Provence , St Remy de Provence,Pont du gard, the famous Ardeche Gorge, Marseille, The Camargue and many more . YOU decide and we will arrange it for you.We can also provide facilities for ROCK CLIMBING including transfers from Marseille or Nimes Airports, guide books, equipment, local transport and instruction for newcomers or climbers wishing to climb up to grade 5 climbs.Come for a long weekend and we will pick you up in Marseille or Nimes Airports or Avignon TGV Station .

The best of the Tour of Mont Blanc walks.8 days with 6 days' walking.This holiday is based  either in the Hotel Labrador in Le Praz de Chamonix  away from the noise and crowds of Chamonix itself,  or  less expensive accommodation  nearby . By using the extensive cable car and mountain railway system we are able to enjoy the wonderful scenery without the grind of major ascents so it is ideal for the slightly older client wishing to enjoy the scenery at altitude .The delightful balcony walks on both sides of the Chamonix valley ,The Mer du Glace and walks from Courmayeur in Italy are all included . We can also provide a dramatic walk on the glacier of the Mer du Glace as an additional extra. All cablecar and mountain railway costs are included . This is a great opportunity to maximise your time in this world famous Alpine Valley. Return each night to the luxury of your ensuite room and allow us to recommend some of the excellent restaurants in Chamonix or make use of the Hotel restaurant with its wooden chalet style decor.Your guide is a highly experienced English mountain leader who has lived in France for 14yrs.

Winter Walking ..

..We will be running long weekend walking holidays for competent walkers in November , December , January , February  and March. They will be based in the area around Mont Ventoux and will concentrate on summiting a number of the 1200m to 2000m peaks in the area . As snow is to be found above 1000m clients will have the pleasure of excellent winter conditions on ascents that are not difficult technically . All of the peaks have excellent views of the Southern Alps from the tops . Accommodation will be on full board basis in our gite or appartment in the village all with  ensuite . We can collect from Nimes Airport or Marseille Airport for a small charge.
