The Weekends.
1.Mountain walking weekend. This is for serious
walkers who want a good 6hr mountain day on mountainous
terrain and ascending 2 of the local mountains at
heights of between 1200 and 1600m .Possibility of snow on the tops
so good footwear essential. Great views from the summits of the
Alps. Ascents of Cougoir, Mielandre and or La Lance or Mont
Ventoux.Snow shoes may be required for Ventoux but can be hired
locally.This is only an option. Accommodation..Choice .1.
2.Hill walking weekend.This is for the walker who enjoys a
4 hr walk on rough paths in the hills without any major ascents. We
look for scenic walks without any difficulty and include visits to
villages afterwards. Accommodation..Choice 1 or 2.
3.Gentle walking weekend. This is for the clients who
would like to have a pleasant morning stroll followed by a light
lunch and then visits to local wine caves, olive mills , hilltop
villages.A local herbs and plants expert will spend Sunday morning
explaining the benefits both medicinal and cookery wise of the
plants.. Accommodation..Choice 2.

.General. Come and stay with us in this lovely corner of
Provence . A region of olive trees,vineyards, lavander and lovely
villages and towns. Enjoy the very varied walking whether you are a
committed mountain walker or gentle stroller through the forests and
fields.Meet some of the locals with their expert knowledge of wine ,
herbs, plants and history of the region.
For the more sporty join one of our Ski and Winter Activity
weekends or try a mix of walks , easy rock climbing and easy
mountain biking.
And for those who just want a break come and relax with a glass
of wine and a good book.
Accommodation.
A Choice..Some of the weekends are based on the Cherry Tree
here in Vinsobres with extra rooms in a lovely old house in the
village. Evening meals in local restaurants.This is Choice 1.
Choice 2. The Guesthouse in Valreas that we use for our
Secrets of Provence Weeks.Evening meals at the Guesthouse. Please

4.Ski and winter activities.This
is for the client who would like to ski for 1 or 2 days or
have a day of snowshoeing,cross country skiing or just walking
in the snow.The programme is based in an Alpine resort about
1hr45 from Vinsobres so the Friday and Saturday nights are
spent in a local Guesthouse in the resort of Super
Devoluy..see details of resort on our Alpine Ski holiday
page.Cost of lift passes and ski hire not
included.Accommodation.Choice 1 plus B and B in Super
Devoluy.

5.A multi Activity Weekend..Easy rock
climbing for novices.A lovely hill walk on rough terrain on the
Dentelles and a morning bike ride through the vineyards with
lunch in a restaurant. This is ideal for anyone young or old
who would like to have a variety of activities of a fairly
gentle nature coupled with good food, wine and comfort.Choice
1 or 2. |

Meals.. Included for all weekends, except the
skiing/winter activities, are dinners on Thursday , Friday and
Saturday . A lunch is included on Sunday before the afternoon departure.All breakfasts are included but not lunch on Fri and
Sat.
For the skiers we provide dinner on Thursday evening and
Friday evening but not Saturday Evening or Sunday lunch.
