The Bernese Oberland - walking the Eiger Trail

From just £925  per person, explore the beautiful mountain scenery of the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen Valleys. Our twin or double, private facility rooms in the recently renovated hotel, just outside Grindelwald includes breakfast and dinner. Walks include the Eiger Trail, Grosse Schynige to Bussalp, one of the most scenic walking days in the Alps, Grosse Scheidegg to First via the famous Bachalsee Lake, from Murren, the north face walk and the superb valley climb to the Rostock Hut with masses of flowers, plus many others, providing a total of 6 exhilarating and awe-inspiring days walking. This is a moderate, 4 to 6 hrs gentle walking pace per day holiday, with ascents of 500 to 800m. Many outstanding scenic stops and either picnic lunches or snacks in lovely mountain huts and hotels.

Also included is a FULL Jungfraubahnen Pass, that provides all rail, road and cablecar links from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald, Murren and all the walking areas we use. This eliminates many tiring ascents and provides great opportunities for balcony and ridge walks.

From £925  per person (minimum of 4) includes 7 nights accommodation with breakfast and dinner, all transport from Interlaken Ost to the hotel and throughout the week with the special Pass. Services of expert International mountain leader. Free taxi service in the evenings to Grindelwald. Excluded are lunches and drinks with meals.  Participants MUST arrange own transport arrival and departure from Interlaken Ost, there is a direct rail link from ZURICH  to Interlaken Ost , PLUS obtain a mountain insurance that covers mountain walking holidays, excluding the use of ropes and climbing gear. Single supplement on request.

Accommodation and meals: Throughout this holiday we are based in the recently renovated and modern Hotel Wetterhorn, just 5 minutes from Grindelwald by free bus. Breakfast and dinner is included. Lunches and drinks with meals are excluded, but can be purchased through the hotel. Photos of the accommodation will be available shortly.
