Alpine Skiing at Super Devoluy in the Southern Alps.  Hotel or Farmhouse Half board based.

Transfers are available by coach from Marseille Airport on Saturdays at 2pm and 6pm. The latter only available during school holidays.

Super Dévoluy lies in the Devoluy Valley 60 kms south of Grenoble and north west of Gap. It is beautiful wild mountainous area with limestone summits and forested flanks.

Our Hotel with ensuite rooms/20m from the pistes..It has a sauna, games room ,excellent restaurant swimming pool and creche during the French School holidays.Also larger family rooms where children have reduced rates.The chalets are just to the right on the photo. ------------------------------------------------------- Our farmhouse is situated about 15 minutes from Super Devoluy and 10 from la Joue, We provide transport each day to and from the resort.

Road access is via Grenoble on the N85 to Corps and then into the valley via St. Disdier. SuperDévoluy lies in a sunny snow bowl with a direct link to its sister resort La Joue du Loup. The runs at La Joue are included in the SuperDévoluy lift pass.We provide transfers from Marseille Airport,Easyjet/BA/ at 2pm ( or by arrangement) on Saturdays and return by 1230 the following Saturday. Also later departure at 6.30pm

There are 100 kms of runs from 1500m to 2800m with an excellent snow record from December to early April. There are 32 lifts and 60 pistes with 16 green, 23 blue, 16 red and 5 black runs. Access to the resort is maintained by snow canons if necessary. Pat Heffron will guide clients around the resort on the first day if they wish. He will also provide cross country ski days , snowshoeing and winter snow walks on request . A small charge will be necessary . This can be arranged on arrival or on a day to day basis.

There are special areas  for surfers and boarders with jumps, tubes and a free ride zone.

 OPTION A ....Hotel Chardonnelles at Super Devoluy..Family run and with a great friendly service .Ski from the front door straight onto the first runs.We include half board in the price .The hotel provides  good buffet meals at lunchtimes . Clients can then return to the hotel at lunchtime for a light meal and a rest before hitting the slopes again. The fast chair lifts provide easy access to the upper slopes in great comfort .We recommend the chalet holidays for families as they provide greater flexibility and economy than the hotel.

OPTION B...THE FARMHOUSE  at St Etienne de Devoluy. There are only 3 rooms available in this charming 17th C farm converted by Julia and her partner.The superb vaulted lounge and dining room  are an indication of the effort made to restore the building. The 3 bedrooms are comfortable and spacious but not all have ensuite facilities.Julia will arrange all the meals from breakfast through to afternoon tea and then an excellent evening meal. She also will take clients to the slopes 10 minutes away and return at 4.30 to bring them back to the house.

An example...family of 4 with 2 children aged 15 and 13.....E850 per head..including 7 nights h/b, lift pass for 6 days, transfers from Marseille and ski guide for day.

FARMHOUSE BASED. The farm has been beautifully restored by Julia and her partner. The setting is idyllic, snow covered forest and superb views. Julia does the cooking and she is cordon bleu trained. There are only 3 rooms available at the moment so you are guaranteed an exclusive and peaceful holiday. Julia provides transfers each day to the skiing. During the week snow shoeing and XC skiing is available on request from Patrick , an English guide based locally.he will also show clients around the Station on Sunday and help with ski passes etc.

PRICE...E800. per person in twin/double room. This includes 7 days half board with afternoon tea, transfers from Marseille Airport by luxury coach, local transfers to the ski slopes, 6 day lift pass ** and first day guided tour of the resort .

Snowshoeing and XC skiing are also available on request during the week , payment locally.

** For over 65s and children from 5 to 12 please deduct  E28.

Access.    If driving down..... From Grenoble take the N75 to Veynes then the Gap road and follow signs to resort. If travelling by train. The nearest Station is Veynes and there is a link via minibus or Taxi to Super Devoluy.
