Francetrek
is a company set up by Patrick and Christiane Heffron in 1991
to provide walking and adventure holidays in the Alps and Provence.
Based at Vinsobres in the northern
part of Provence, France, with all the advantages of the Provencal
climate, history and vegetation, coupled with close proximity to
the lovely mountains and peaks of the pre Alps and the Alps themselves.
Pat is a highly qualified mountain leader,
European Mountain leader and Mountain Instructor with 35yrs
experience of mountaineering, rock climbing, skiing and trekking..all
incident free!!....Walking Holidays in
Provence for £450 based on our gite on h/b .Private guided
holidays for 2 or more clients including visits to famous sites such
as Les Baux , St Remy , Avignon, Pont du Gard, Arles and Nimes,
Ardeche Gorge , Gordes , Roussillon and many more .Available in
April, May, June , Sept and October...and we include transfers
from Marseille and Nimes Airports or Avignon TGV

Within minutes you can be walking and
climbing on the local hills or cycling the quiet minor roads and
tracks. Mount Ventoux, on the doorstep, at 6000ft provides superb
walking, biking, and, in winter access to snow. The Ardeche Gorge
is a must for Summer canoeists and there are other such gorges in
the area. Francetrek can provide multi activity or specialist holidays,
or can provide special mountain holidays for small groups of clients.
The base is near NYONS, about 30 kms NE of Orange.

| Accommodation.We
offer only accommodation with a true provencal character and a
guaranteed high standard of welcome ,quality and provencal meals. Our
picnics are a splendid mix of local cheeses/meats/salads served on a
plate with a glass of red ! If you wish to have an
independent walking or climbing holiday why not
rent our comfortable GITE with garden and pool . It sleeps 4 in
two bedrooms with 2 bathrooms,lounge , kitchen diner , games room
BBQ and outside dining area under the vines.Ideal area for walking
cycling and rock climbing with the Dentelles and other crags
within 20minutes' drive .Out of the main season come at any time and
as long as you like. |
